A Legacies of Freedom United States and United Kingdom silver bullion coin set. The 2003 set symbolizing ‘freedom, tradition, and national pride’ includes an American Eagle silver $1 bullion coin and a Britannia silver £ 2 bullion coin. The American coin features the ‘Walking Liberty’ design as she strides ‘toward the dawn of a new day’ on the obverse and the ‘American Eagle’ design on the reverse. The British coin features Britannia as she appeared on the coins of the Romans during the reign of the Emperor Hadrian ‘indicating her island status’ on the obverse and a profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth on the reverse. American 31.10 grams, metal content .999 silver. British coin 32.45 grams, metal content .958 silver. Condition: Very good.
