Hand Colored Lithograph Prints After Gabriel Huquier and François Boucher Cherub Illustrations

A set of three hand-colored lithograph prints on paper after 18th-century cherub illustrations. The images originate from intaglio prints by listed French artist Jacques Gabriel Huquier (1695-1772), each made after illustrations by listed French artist François Boucher (1703-1770). The works include Two Children, One With A Sword, Another With A Helmet; Three Children Among Clouds Near a Palm Leaf; and the frontispiece to Second Livre de Groupes d’Enfans (Second Book of Groups of Children). The works are matted in pink fabric, presented under glass and framed together in a gold tone wooden frame with a hanging tab to the top and a sawtooth hanger to the verso. - toning and foxing to prints; wear to fabric liner; residue present to frame; surface scratching and edge wear to frame; tears and gallery label to frame’s paper backing.
