A hand-knotted Persian Bakhtiari pictorial area rug. This area rug features floral and foliate imagery in a cubic checkered pattern spanning to the compound border. The imagery displays hues of tangerine, green, brick red, pink, maroon, brown, sand, and blue with a floral rust and blue-gray border lining the squares. The wide compound border has three floral patterns in a coordinating color scheme finished with natural warp fringe to either end. The rug is unmarked.
