Item Details
A tufted, carved floral wool area rug. This Savonnerie-style rug is rendered in a palette of gold, ivory, crimson, and taupe. It begins with a central floral medallion in ivory over a gold-colored field that features large-scale floral arabesques and broken borders. Framing the field is a wide primary border in crimson. Selvedges are serged, the rug finishing in ivory cotton fringe at either end. It includes a full fabric backing. A partial tag remains on the reverse; made in China.
