An original late-19th century pastel drawing on paperboard by an anonymous artist. The stunning drawing depicts a mountain landscape illustrated with remarkable depth and dimension. A large boulder and trees coated in wildflowers stand in the foreground along the banks of a flat, reflective body of water. Tall mountain peaks rise in the distance beneath a hazy gray and blue sky. The drawing is unsigned. It is matted in off-white and presented behind antique hand-rolled glass in a wooden frame with ornate cast surface embellishments, gold tone finish, and a hanging wire.
Condition
- pinholes and light wear to corners from previous hanging or framing. Discoloration to matting. Light scratching to frame.
