An acrylic painting on deckled paper titled Birches and Turning Leaves, created in 1988. This work depicts a verdant autumnal scene in quick, layered brushstrokes. Consisting of vibrant colors, forms are delineated with dark outlines and large gestural brushstrokes in this expressionistic portrayal of the subject. No signature was found on the work; handwriting to the verso reads “Birches & Turning Leaves Near Minnewawa, MN 9/17/88”. The painting is not mounted and is presented unframed.

- pinholes in corners of work from previous mounting.
