An ebony wood and sterling silver pin box. This pin box features a tubular shape made of ebony wood with a screw on lid that features a small applied sterling silver plaque. The plaque is marked with Birmingham silver hallmarks including ‘CPB’, the maker’s mark for Charles Penny Brown, along with an anchor for Birmingham, a ‘W’ for the year 1896, and a lion passant for sterling.

Condition

to Fair. The condition is consistent with age and shows a crack to the lid and tarnish to the sterling piece.
