A hand-knotted carved Chinese area rug. The rug features a central medallion in a palette of cream, pink, deep red, and orange that sits on top of a deep red field. The field is populated by vines and floral palmettes in a complementary palette and is enclosed by a compound resolved border. The border features a pattern of florals and vines in a matching cream, orange, and pink palette with a wool fringe to either end. The rug is not marked.
