Early 20th Century Italian Blackamoor Life Size Bronze

Item Details

An early 20th century Art Deco Italian life size blackamoor bronze of a Venetian Moor holding a torch overhead, the round plinth base having a ‘T over A circular ’S’ foundry stamp. The burnished bronze is beautifully sculpted with curly hair, a draped cloth at his waist and a hand on the hip pose. Both the size and the detailing is quite impressive.
