A black and white photograph on translucent ground titled Mists by listed artist Don Werner (American, 1929 – 2010), dated 1993 – 1994. Signed and dated by the artist to the lower left margin; titled to the verso upper left. Housed in a wood frame underneath acrylic glass and a single layer of white matting.

Donald Lewis Werner was an American photographer, painter, and graphic designer born in Fresno, California in 1929. He studied at Fresno State College with Adolf and Ella Odorfer and Jane Gale. He was in Who’s Who in American Art and exhibited work at Gallery 1984, the Fresno Art Museum, the National Arts Club, and the American Museum of Natural History. His works can be found in various collections including the Smithsonian Institute and the Fresno Art Museum.
