Hand Carved Wooden Mask With Bird of Prey Detailing

Item Details

A carved mask by an anonymous artist. The elongated mask has sunken diagonal slit eye holes and stylized oval mouth with carved accents. The ‘nose’ is in the form of a bird of prey and runs from the forehead to the top of the mouth. No discernible maker’s mark was found.

- wear; large wood split to the bottom of the piece.
