An ink drawing on paper of an architectural landscape by listed artist Don Werner (American, 1929 – 2010), dated 1952. Signed and dated by the artist to the lower left corner. Housed in a wood frame under acrylic glass and a double layer of matting. To the verso is a framer’s label.

Donald Lewis Werner was an American photographer, painter, and graphic designer born in Fresno, California in 1929. He studied at Fresno State College with Adolf and Ella Odorfer and Jane Gale. He was in Who’s Who in American Art and exhibited work at Gallery 1984, the Fresno Art Museum, the National Arts Club, and the American Museum of Natural History. His works can be found in various collections including the Smithsonian Institute and the Fresno Art Museum.

- mat burn; overall toning to the matting and paper; minor wear to the frame, focused in the corners.
