A 1982 offset lithograph on paper after an illustration by listed Ohio artist Charley Harper (1922-2007). The museum poster, titled Discovery Place, depicts a colorful array of birds, bugs and other forest wildlife, with ‘Discovery Place’ printed in light green to the top. The work includes vibrant hues of red, blue, violet, yellow, orange, pink and green. The print is signed by hand to the lower right, just above the in-plate signature. The poster includes the printed text of ‘Discovery Place, Charles Harper, 1982’ to the lower margin. It is presented under glass in a gold tone metal frame with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- scratching and wear to frame finish; glass would benefit from cleaning; slight fading to print with age; gallery sticker to frame verso.
