An original oil on canvas painting by French painter Jules René Hervé (1887-1981) titled Paris by Notre Dame. The work depicts a busy modern street scene in Paris with Notre Dame Cathedral towering in the background. The painting is signed by the artist to the lower left and to the back of the canvas. Hervé was a prominent twentieth century Impressionist who first displayed his work publicly in 1910 at the Salon of French Artists.
