A Perth Mint Australia ‘Orbit and Beyond’ series First Space Walk coin. The obverse of the coin which is issued as legal tender by the Government of the Cook Islands depicts Queen Elizabeth II centered at the top, between the words ‘ELIZABETH II’ and ‘COOK ISLANDS’, over a colorized globe The reverse depicts Alexei Leonov ‘space walking’ outside Voskhod II in orbit around a colorized depiction of space and the earth. When removed from the case the outside ring of the coin will orbit the earth in the center. Composition 99.9% silver. Approximate diameter 38.75 mm. Approximate weight 31.13 grams. The coin is presented in a silver tone case with a certificate of authenticity. Coin number 04349. Condition: Very good. .
