A watercolor painting on paper titled Star Gazers by Donald Lewis Werner (b. 1929). Depicted is an abstract composition rendered in vibrant hues of orange, yellow, and pinks. The composition is rendered across four pieces of textured paper. Thus piece is signed by hand in to the lower left corner. An adhesive sticker is present to the lower left with the title. Presented behind acrylic glass, within a white mat and silver-tone metal frame.
Donald Lewis Werner is an American photographer, painter, and graphic designer born in Fresno, California in 1929. He studied at Fresno State College with Adolf and Ella Odorfer and Jane Gale. He was in Who’s Who in American Art and exhibited work at Gallery 1984, the Fresno Art Museum, the National Arts Club, and the American Museum of Natural History. His works are in collections at the Smithsonian Institute and the Fresno Art Museum.
