A photograph on translucent ground titled White Mesa by listed artist Don Werner (American, 1929 – 2010. The work depicts an abstract composition with a mix of hard black geometric shapes and organic curves. Signed and dated ‘’93-’94’ in graphite to mat. To the verso, a gallery label with medium and title is adhered. Presented mounted on a white frame under glass in a painted wooden frame.

Donald Lewis Werner was an American photographer, painter, and graphic designer born in Fresno, California in 1929. He studied at Fresno State College with Adolf and Ella Odorfer and Jane Gale. He was in Who’s Who in American Art and exhibited work at Gallery 1984, the Fresno Art Museum, the National Arts Club, and the American Museum of Natural History. His works can be found in various collections including the Smithsonian Institute and the Fresno Art Museum.
