A watercolor painting on paper of a tree by artist Max Howard (1908-1995). This painting, captured in vibrant washes, depicts what appears to be a courtyard, and centers on a low, wide tree. The piece is unsigned. There is a plaque on the frame which reads ‘Max Howard 1908-1995.’ The piece is presented under glass in a carved wood frame, with a wire to the verso for hanging.

- minor wear to frame; sticker residue to lower right corner of glass; paper backing is worn.
