A Chris Pardell limited edition mixed media sculpture titled First Born. The mixed metal sculpture depicts an American Indian mother gazing at her child cradled in her arms. Below her arms the woman’s figure is depicted by a dark green marble look column with a round foot. The sculpture is part of Chris Pardell’s ‘Native American Collection’, one of the ‘Legends Matched Number Sets’ designed exclusively for Starlight Studios. The artist has signed the piece in the mold on the woman’s shoulder and it is numbered 413/2500.

Christopher Pardell began sculpting at the age of four. Dropping out of college after two years he became an apprentice mold maker at a commercial statuary company where he worked under a family of immigrant Italians trained in the Old World style. Christopher’s works are never sketched, but composed in three dimensions, in a moquette. He is drawn to the human figure and trying to capture human emotions.
