Laban Signed Original Monkey-Themed Batik
Item Details
A vintage original hand-dyed monkey-themed batik textile signed to the lower right by artist Laban, circa 1975. The textile is covered with a beautiful organic green pattern, blooming across the pictorial space in irregular fractals, as several monkeys dodge in and out of the foliage, playfully interacting with one another. This piece is mounted behind glass in a wood frame with a gold leaf finish, equipped to hang. A Closson label is attached to the verso.

- age discoloration across fabric. Finish of frame is worn.
