A hand-knotted wool Kerman area rug. This rug features a bright red field with a foliate center medallion with a series of floral, foliate, and palmette borders. The colors depicted against the bright red field are, blues, pinks, greens, and ivory. Two the ends show a wrapped overcast edge and the other two show a natural warp fringe in ivory. The tag to the reverse states, ‘Genuine Handwoven Oriental Rug’ along with other descriptions.
