Nori Azuma Signed Limited Edition Serigraph on Canvas "Peaceful Image"

A signed limited edition serigraph on canvas titled Peaceful Image by listed Japanese-American artist Norio Azuma (1928-2004). Resembling the De Stijl, this abstract work features overlapping and adjacent rectangular color blocks in red, yellow, blue, and neutral shades. The work is signed in ink to the lower right; it is titled and numbered 21 out of an edition of 45 to the lower left. A descriptive label is present to the verso, and the stretched canvas remains unframed. A cardboard panel is affixed to the verso.

Nori Azuma is known for her Modernist style painting and printmaking often featuring geometric shapes. She received art training at Kanazawa Art College, Chouinard Art Institute, and the Art Students League in New York. Her work has been collected by numerous art institutions including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Seattle Art Museum, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, among others.
