Trench Art Ash Receivers and Shell Casings
Item Details
A collection of brass trench-folk art. The collection consists of two ash receivers made from shell casing fashioned with feet. The ash receivers are etched on the exterior ‘A.A.F. USS YMS 365’ and ‘3in MK 7 – MOD.1 50-cal HDH 9-1942 S.M.C. Lot No 143 SL 43.’ There are also two shell casings, one casing reads on bottom ‘AM LOT 1090 37mm Gun Model of 1916 4114-14 W.P.S. Co.’.
Condition
— some surface wear with markings and tarnishing.
