An original oil painting on canvas board by well-listed American artist Dora G. McCollister (Columbus, Ohio; 1860 – 1945), titled Old Town, painted in 1943. The image depicts a tropical Floridian marsh landscape surrounding a small wooden cottage. Artist signature is signed to the verso, with working notes and additional information about the painting. Presented without frame.
McCollister graduated from the Columbus School of Art and Design in 1932 and was the first fine arts graduate of the Ringling College of Art and Design (Sarasota, Florida), in April 1937.
