An antique Turkish Oushak area rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a faded palette of camel, gold, and ivory. It features an allover harshang floral pattern, which includes large-scale palmettes and vinework. Filled with sprays of flowers and tree of life motifs, the major border is wide; it is flanked on each side by meandering floral guard strips. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at either end with bound edges. The rug is tagged on the reverse.
