An original abstract acrylic on primed, unstretched canvas by contemporary American artist Robbie Kemper (Cincinnati, Ohio, 1957 -), titled Black Square Lav Loop, circa 2010. The image depicts an energetic, non-objective composition of black, rusted red, sap green and lavender patches of paint, aggressively intertwined, mixed, layered and splattered. Artist signature is signed to the lower left. This piece is not framed. Kemper studied art at the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning, and is currently a studio resident at the Pendleton Art Center in the historic district of Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati, Ohio.
