A limited edition lithograph on paper titled Sentinel of the Plains by American artist Carol Wald (1935-2000). Illustrated with thick outlines and quick gestural brushstrokes, this work features a granary isolated on a green field. The print is signed in graphite to the lower right; it is numbered 99 out of an edition of 250. Presented under acrylic glass with white matting and a brown wood frame. A label from Original Print Collectors Group, Ltd. is present to the verso.

Carol Wald was known for her paintings, collages, and illustrations, some of which appeared in magazines such as Time, the New York Times Sunday Magainze, and Ms, to name a few. Her work can be found in numerous art collections including the National Gallery of Art, the Detroit Institute of Arts, and the Minneapolis Museum of Art, among others.

- contents are coming loose and need securing in frame; residue present to lower right area of acrylic glass; minor scratches, smudges, and spots of residue throughout acrylic; scratches, stains, and discoloration throughout frame; ripped backing; holes, tape remnants, adhesive remnants, and stains throughout backing.
