A limited edition serigraph on paper titled Lorenzo the Magnificent by listed American artist Dean Meeker (1920-2002). Depicted is an abstracted portrait of ‘Lorenzo the Magnificent’ or Lorenzo de’ Medici, the fifteenth century Italian statesman. Medici is known for his strong support and powerful patronage of Renaissance art. His red shirt is the most prominent of forms and colors in the print, accounting for much of the composition. Signed to the lower right in graphite, titled to the lower left, and noted edition of 50 to the lower center. Presented with a linen mat, under glass, housed in a gold-toned frame.
Condition
- paper has some minor discoloration; frame appears with scratches and marks throughout.
