A limited edition serigraph print on paper titled Hillside by listed Japanese-American artist Norio Azuma (1928-2004). Depicted is an abstract composition of color field blocks in the De Stijl taste. Comprised of varied colors in geometric form on a background of grey and white tones. Signed to the lower right in graphite, titled to the lower center, and numbered edition 2 of 100. Presented with a white mat, under acrylic glass, housed in a wood frame with aluminum fitting.
Nori Azuma is known for her Modernist style painting and printmaking often featuring geometric shapes. She received art training at Kanazawa Art College, Chouinard Art Institute, and the Art Students League in New York. Her work has been collected by numerous art institutions including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Seattle Art Museum, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, among others.
