It is signed and dated ‘60’ at the lower right corner. The painting is presented in a dark wood frame. Wired for hanging.

Joan Erbe was a Baltimore based artist known for her expressionistic paintings, sculptures, and ceramic jewelry inspired by the circus and sideshow performers recalled from her childhood.
