A gouache and watercolor painting on paper by listed American artist Phillip Callahan (1918-1991). This painting depicts an abstract costumed figure in a striking palette of blue, orange, purple and black. The letters Z U X are painted vertically to the lower left side and it is signed to the lower right. Presented under glass in a black wood frame with a sawtooth hanger. It is stamped to the verso from the estate of Phillip Callahan.
