A handpainted walnut dresser by Johnson Furniture Company in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The walnut dresser features a handpainted exterior with floral garlands and cherubs throughout in shades of olive, sage, pale yellow, and pink. The dresser has a rectangular top, reeded moulding, brass hardware, and tapered turned legs with carved floral medallions at the top of each. The top lockable cabinet is set back from the lower cabinet and features three burled walnut dovetail constructed drawers inside. The lower part of the dresser features a sectioned drawer with dovetail joints, and three deep gradated dovetail constructed drawers below. Two keys are included. Maker’s mark located on interior left side of middle drawer.
