Hand-Knotted Persian Hamadan Accent Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan accent rug. This wool rug is woven in a palette of cream, black, and rose. It features a bright floral cream-colored medallion, which is nestled inside of a black lozenze featuring a diamond-shaped rose-colored strip. The palette and design of the central medallion is echoed in the spandrels. The small rug makes room for three borders, two of which are barber pole, the central strip featuring a meandering floral pattern. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing with ivory cotton warp fringe. It is marked on the reverse.
