Hand Colored Engraving "Le Bon Genre, No. 56"
Item Details
A hand-colored French fashion plate engraving titled Le Bon Genre, No. 56. The early 19th-century print was engraved by Georges Jacques Gatine (1773-1831) and features a young woman in a fashionable hat and dress, which are described in French beneath the image. It is mounted under glass with a white mat decorated with green and black French lines. The narrow wood frame has gilt gesso relief foliate decoration.
