A watercolor painting on paper of pansies by American artist Polly Nordell (1876–1958). This painting depicts a low dish and a cluster of pansies in shades of yellow and blue, over a loose green ground. Some of the artist’s pencil initial underdrawing is visible through the paint wash. This piece is presented under glass in a textured gold tone frame, and has a light colored mat; it is ready to hang via wire.

Condition

- mat is discolored; frame has wear to edges and slight staining; paper backing is slightly damaged; painting surface has slight bowing.
