A pair of signed Paul Conrad lithographic prints. Listed artist Paul Conrad (American, June 27, 1924 – September 4, 2010) was noted for his political cartoons. These prints are typical of his oeuvre with the clean lines and visual metaphors. The Train features an American politician on a caboose giving the voting public a ‘thumbs up.’ It is signed in proof and pencil to the lower right and numbered 21 of an edition of 50 to the lower left. Justice Building features the Justice Building in Washington, D. C. with a title under the apex reading ‘5 to 4 Justice Under Law.’ It is signed in pencil to the lower right, signed in proof to the lower right, and numbered 3 of an edition of 5 in pencil to the lower left. Both are presented under glass in narrow black frames.
