A beautiful Cochiti polychrome dog effigy pottery pitcher, made by Pueblo Indians in the southwest of America. Most likely early 1920’s, with rich black bird like details over an earthen white glaze which was washed over the upper half of the red clay jug. An adorable little pup with functional spout and handle. Also included is a modern small polychrome ceremonial Kiva jar with a decorative finish to the top.

- finish wear to the jug with small chips to the edges and worn spots of glaze.
