Chinese Folding Screen with Carved Soapstone Scenes
Item Details
A vintage 1960s Chinese room screen with carved soapstone scenes. This folding room divider features a different raised-relief scene on each panel made up of multicolored, carved soapstone and mother of pearl accents on black with brass capped feet. The back has gold-tone and green painted foliate patterns. Purchased in Bangkok during the Vietnam War.
