Menachem Messinger Gouache Painting on Paper "Games of God"
Item Details
A gouache painting on paper titled Games of God by listed Israeli artist Menachem Messigner (1898-1987). An abstract scene unfolds in the top half of the painting as obscured faces appear among the vibrant sections. Below this scene is an abstract landscape with flowering trees and plants. Signed to the lower left is silver paint and titled in Hebrew to the lower center. To the verso is a descriptive label from Morris Gallery. Presented under glass with a cloth wrapped mat and gold-toned wood frame.

- framing is loose; cloth wrapped mat is stained; frame shows some paint loss; paper is wavy in areas.
