Item Details
A watercolor painting on paper abstract composition signed by the artist M. Sparling. Depicted is a kinetic sea of blue, yellow and green tones with splashes of white and black color. The aesthetic of the primary and complimentary colors and their mixing may have been, in part, suggested by Goethe’s color theory. Changes in density and color move throughout the composition. Signed to the lower right in ink. Presented under glass with an off-white mat and silver-toned wood frame.

- some staining to the lower part of the mat; scratches around the edge of the frame.
