An oil painting on canvas portrait of a girl by listed American artist Pat Zenda (b. 1930). This painting depicts a young girl wearing a blue dress holding pale blue hyacinths. The figure is surrounded by matching blue hyacinths against a pale background. This piece is signed to the lower right corner in paint. To the verso, is a biographical tag about the artist and an inventory tag. The work remains unframed.
Pat Zenda was born in 1930 in Wisconsin and studied at the Layton School of Art, Wisconsin State Teachers College. She served as artist in residence from 1963-1964. She studied internationally at the Positano Art Workshop, Positano, Italy in 1964, and in Art Study Seminars in England, France, and Italy in 1966.
