Ornate Hand-Knotted Kashmar-Style Area Rug

A hand-knotted Kashmar-style wool area rug having a highly ornate pattern. This rug features a dense field of floral bouquet patterns among a symmetrical arabesque of vines, in shades of red, green and beige against a navy blue field. The wide red main border is embellished with a light grey and off-white scrolling design and acanthus details. Pastel pink and light blue floral motif guard borders accent the main border. Navy blue side cords and long white natural warp fringe on the shorter ends complete the rug. Unmarked.
