A Sino Tabriz style round handwoven area rug. The rug features a large floral and acanthus motif medallion in shades of red, pink, light blue, green, cream, white and dark blue-black, on a deep red field embellished with floral and acanthus bouquets.The field is encircled with a wide blue-black main border of the same design, separated by pink floral motif guard borders. The rug is finished with a narrow red band around the outside edge and long white natural warp fringe. No maker’s label, a small paper tag which reads ‘Sino Tabriz Handmade in China 6 × 6 number 007674’ is attached.
