Item Details

A circa 1900 Renaissance style curule-form oak armchair. The wooden, walnut-stained frame features a shaped splat with satyr and foliate carvings flanked by scrolled, maiden-head finials. The open arms continue to scrolled handholds above a padded seat in cream, velvet-textured upholstery. The chair rises on arched legs joined by lateral stretchers and ending paw-carved feet. The center of the skirt is embellished with a faceted cartouche with foliate and floral carvings.
