Antique Folding Chair With Tapestry Seat
Item Details
An antique folding chair with a tapestry seat. The dark stained wooden chair features a curved top rail, turned bobbin stiles, and hinged cylindrical legs with added width where hardware and stretchers are attached. An embroidered tapestry, featuring geometric motifs in shades of brown and yellow, is affixed to the bottom of the chair back and top of the forward swinging set of legs as a seat for the chair. When folded the lower rail of the seat back flips up and acts as a handle.
Condition
- scratches and fading to wood. Tapestry is tattered and fraying along edges.
