Signed Paul Stankard Handcrafted Art Glass "Fertile Seeds" Paperweight

A signed handcrafted art glass orb paperweight by Paul Joseph Stankard (American, 1943 – ) titled Fertile Seeds. To the center is a realistic study of cherry blossoms with branches upholding several blooms and a dragonfly flying overhead. Two of the leaves is labeled ‘Fertile Seeds’; there is an initial circle to the side reading ‘PS 95’. The bottom is etched signed ‘Paul J. Stankard F13 1995’.
Paul J. Stankard is considered a living day master and father of modern art glass paperweights. The internationally acclaimed artist has artwork in over 60 museums throughout the world and has been rewarded with the Masters of Medium Award James Renwick Alliance and Glass Art Society’s Lifetime Achievement Award among others. He is currently an artist-in-resident and honorary professor at Salem Community College in New Jersey.
