Item Details
An original 1985 Surrealist gouache painting on panel, signed somewhat illegibly in tiny scripted letters to the lower right, possibly reading ‘Joe Ficher’ or ‘Fillier’. The image depicts two tall, thin, anonymous humanoid figures approaching each other, separated by a rendered piece of wood through the center of the pictorial space. One of them is wearing a dark purple cloak and occupies an outdoor setting, illuminated by a full moon. The other figure wears a golden cloak imbued with light, and inhabits a warmly lit interior. This work is mounted without glass in a beveled wood frame with a distressed speckled gilt finish, equipped for hanging.
