A framed display of a needlepoint after the original work by well-listed American Modernist wildlife artist and conservationist Charley Harper (Cincinnati; 1922 – 2007), titled Pier Group. The image depicts pelicans lined up next to each other, perched on the thick trunks of an ocean pier, a full moon behind them. This piece is mounted without glass under an oatmeal fabric mat with wooden fillet in a weathered wood frame, equipped to hang.
Condition
- light rippling across needlepoint. Accretion on mat and frame.
