1982 Leonida Ivanetich Acrylic on Canvas Copy Painting After William De Leftwich Dodge's "The Novice"

A 1982 acrylic painting on canvas by Leonida Ivanetich after a 1900 original painting by William De Leftwich Dodge (American, 1867-1935). Titled La Novice (Nun in Giverny Garden), this impressionistic work depicts a nun dressed in a white habit walking through the blossoming Monet gardens at Giverny. Ivanetich painted a facsimile signature for Doge in the bottom right corner. This work is presented in a gold tone wooden frame, that is wired for hanging. The date and artist of the copy is written on the stretcher on verso.
