George Washington Seavey Oil Painting on Canvas of a Floral Still Life

A late 19th-century oil painting on canvas by listed still life artist George Washington Seavey (American, 1841-1913). This depicts an arrangement of pink, purple, and white flowers within a yellow vase, upon a reflective table surface in a dark interior. This work is signed in the lower right corner ‘G W Seavey’. It is presented in a stained wooden frame with a gold-tone beadwork inner border, that is wired for hanging.

- hole in canvas; crackling with minor lacuna; darkened varnish.
